22/3: We Were There. is a series based on the real-life experiences of two students who were present during the terrorist attacks of 22 March 2016. The 18-year-olds were about to leave for an end-of-year trip, when two bombs exploded in the departure hall of Brussels Airport. Although they survived, each of them has had to find their own way to deal with this trauma and forge a new future.
22/3 Wij waren daar. is een fictiereeks gebaseerd op de echte ervaringen van twee ex-studenten die erbij waren tijdens de terroristische aanslagen van 22 maart 2016. Wanneer de 18-jarige studenten van de middelbare school in Kontich op eindejaarsreis willen vertrekken, gaan er twee bommen af in de vertrekhal van Brussels Airport. Hoewel de leerlingen heelhuids uit de vertrekhal raken, moeten ze elk op zoek naar hun eigen manier om het trauma te verwerken. Een weg die over hindernissen verloopt en die met pijn, liefde en vriendschap gepaard gaat. Uiteindelijk zullen ze troost vinden bij elkaar en samen nieuwe plannen smeden.
