synopsis

With his vintage Walkman, 13-year-old Felix can listen to the past. Together with his best friends, he sets out to find answers to his mother's mysterious death, and discovers a secret environmental scandal: chemical waste dumped illegally in the 1980s threatens their town. How is all of this connected to his mother? Can Felix prevent a total disaster?
De 13-jarige Felix beleeft de ideale zomer met zijn beste vrienden. Ze hangen rond bij de zwemput, waar ze in het water spelen en filmpjes maken. Dan doet Felix een ongelofelijke ontdekking: zijn gele vintage walkman pikt geluiden op uit het jaar 1989! Maar Felix hoort ook iets verontrustend. Zijn eigen mama Marijke was in 1989 iets duister op het spoor. Marijke is recent overleden en Felix gelooft dat haar zoektocht misschien iets met haar dood te maken heeft. Samen met zijn beste vrienden gaat Felix op onderzoek uit. Felix en zijn vrienden ontdekken een nakend milieuschandaal. Maar hoe is alles met elkaar verbonden? En kunnen ze een milieuramp voorkomen voor het te laat is?
