Because of an important project, Engineering Bureau Verbrugge and engineer Hugo Saint Laurent are obliged to work together. When Hugo visits Octave Verbrugge at his home in Ghent, he discovers that there is a lot of tension between Octave and his sisters who live with him. After learning more and more about Octave's family life each day, drama happens. Octave is murdered when carrying a lot of money. They immediately suspect Van Loo, Octave's partner and ex-lover of one of Octave's sisters. He has disappeared right after the murder and it is known that he has a lot of debts. But when Van Loo is killed in an accident, the investigation comes to a hold. Meanwhile, Hugo finds out the truth but can't prevent another person being murdered.

Dans le cadre d’un projet important, les ingénieurs Verbrugge et Hugo Saint Laurent sont obligés de travailler ensemble. Lorsqu’Hugo rend visite à Octave Verbrugge à son habitat à Gand, il découvre qu’il y a beaucoup de tensions entre Octave et sa soeur avec laquelle il vit. Après en avoir appris plus sur la vie de famille quotidienne d’Octave, le drame se produit. Octave est assassiné alors qu’il transporte une somme d’argent importante. Van Loo, le partenaire d’Octave et l’ex petit-ami de l’une de ses soeurs, est immédiatement suspecté. Il a disparu juste après le meurtre et il est connu pour avoir de nombreuses dettes. Mais lorsque Van Loo est tué dans un accident, l’investigation est suspendue. Entre-temps, Hugo découvre la vérité, mais ne peut empêcher le meurtre d’une autre victime.
