After 20 years of living in the US, Ben returns to his native town. He is rich, has American ways and is accompanied by the pretty Angela who is pregnant and whom he says is his stepdaughter. In the village, Ben meets up with his old love Louise who is married now. When Angela decides to leave the narrow-minded village, Louise's son Harm decides to accompany her.

synopsis

After 20 years of living in the US, Ben returns to his native town. He is rich, has American ways and is accompanied by the pretty Angela who is pregnant and whom he says is his stepdaughter. In the village, Ben meets up with his old love Louise who is married now. When Angela decides to leave the narrow-minded village, Louise's son Harm decides to accompany her. They fall in love, but their happiness doesn't last very long. It is destroyed by a group who cannot tolerate the couple's liberal behaviour.
Après avoir vécu 20 ans aux Etats-Unis, Ben retourne dans sa ville natale. Il est riche, a des manières d’américain et est accompagné de la belle Angela, enceinte, qu’il présente comme étant sa belle-fille. Dans le village, Ben retrouve Louise, son vieil amour, qui est désormais mariée. Lorsqu’Angela décide de quitter le village étroit d’esprit, le fils de Louise, Harn, prend la décision de l’accompagner. Ils tombent amoureux, mais leur bonheur est de courte durée. Il est détruit par un groupe qui ne peut tolérer le comportement libéral du couple.
