synopsis

After a major catastrophe, a new society arises, Arcadia. Because scarcity prevails, a Citizen Score is introduced. We follow a law-abiding family who, thanks to their high score, can live a good life. But everything changes when the father, Pieter, is caught fixing the algorithm to raise the scores of two of his daughters. He is deported from Arcadia to the outside world, while his wife and four daughters receive penalty points that dramatically lower their scores. How do you survive in a world where your score determines whether you can keep on living or not?
Na een grote catastrofe ontstaat een nieuwe samenleving, Arcadia. Omdat schaarste heerst, wordt een Burgerscore geïntroduceerd. We volgen het leven van een gezagsgetrouwe familie die dankzij haar hoge score een goed leven kan leiden. Alles verandert wanneer vader Pieter uit Arcadia naar de buitenwereld wordt gedeporteerd. Hij heeft immers gefraudeerd met het algoritme en de score van twee van zijn dochters. Pieters vrouw en zijn vier dochters krijgen strafpunten die hun score ernstig verlagen. Hoe overleef je in een wereld waar een score bepaalt of je kan blijven leven of niet?
