synopsis

Two brass bands, the Flemish 'St. Cecilia' and Walloon 'En Avant', are contenders for national pre-selection for the final of the European Union's Best Brass Band contest. The Walloons are blown into the final by Hugues, their exceptionally talented trumpet player; while Willy of the Flemish band hits the highest note after the band's final chord, but afterwards drops dead on stage. But Elke, daughter of St. Cecilia's conductor, has an idea about how to beat the competition.
L'harmonie flamande Sainte-Cécile et l'harmonie wallonne En Avant sont toutes deux sélectionnées pour représenter la Belgique à la grande finale européenne. Mais quand le soliste de Sainte-Cécile s’éteint brusquement sur le podium, Elke, la fille du chef d'orchestre flamand, a une idée pour sauver la finale: se payer Hugues, le fabuleux trompettiste de leur concurrent wallon.
De Vlaamse harmonie Sint-Cecilia en het Waalse En Avant zijn allebei geselecteerd voor de grote Europese finale. Wanneer de solist van Sint-Cecilia dood neerstort op het podium heeft Elke, dochter van dirigent Jozef, een idee om alsnog hun finale te redden: de fantastische trompettist Hugues weghalen bij de Walen.
