synopsis

Two sisters, Ornella and Teresa, have cared for each other for their entire lives. Teresa is now in the twilight of her life and is having problems as her memory slowly fades. Before it's too late, Ornella decides to confront Teresa with a painful untold story that goes back to their childhood and could possibly affect their close bond.
De twee zussen Ornella en Teresa hebben hun hele leven voor elkaar gezorgd. Teresa bevindt zich nu in de schemering van haar leven en heeft problemen haar lot te accepteren, terwijl haar geheugen langzaamaan vervaagt. Voor het te laat is, besluit Ornella om Teresa te confronteren met een pijnlijk, onverteld verhaal dat teruggaat naar hun kindertijd en hun band voorgoed zou kunnen veranderen. De film is een warm portret van een Italiaanse familie, gezien door de ogen van Ornella’s zoon, Manu. Met humor en tederheid ontdekken we hoe tijd ons dwingt achterom te kijken en onszelf te confronteren met de keuzes die we gemaakt hebben in het leven.
