synopsis
- Bo Backstage is a character-driven film that stays close to Bo, a female stand-up comedian who on the surface seems to be smiling, but in reality wears a mask. ‘Fawning’ is little-known as a way of dealing with conflict, compared to fight, flight and freeze. It’s an almost invisible people-pleasing mechanism that can be very destructive for those who experience it and have learned to silence themselves.
