In Chameleon, the wannabe-actor Chris and his three childhood friends want to make it in life and escape the deprived neighbourhood in which they grew up. Then an accidental run-in with local gangster Murat ends with them owing him €10,000, and things heat up very fast. Will they be able to stay on the right track, or will the gangster life turn out to be inescapable? What about their dreams?
In de komische dramareeks Kameleon proberen vier jeugdvrienden te ontsnappen uit de wijk in Antwerpen waar ze zijn opgegroeid; een wijk waar kansen niet talrijk zijn en waar heel wat jongeren kiezen voor de ‘get rich fast’-optie van drugscriminaliteit. Daaraan ontsnappen blijkt niet zo evident te zijn. De flamboyante dagdromer Chris wil een carrière als acteur. Maar doorbreken wil hem maar niet lukken. Ligt dat aan zijn huidskleur, aan een gebrek aan kansen, aan zijn inzet of suckt hij gewoon?
