synopsis

December 2007. On a cold winter night just before Christmas, 16-year-old Nick runs away from an orphanage in the Ardennes. On his travels he encounters Leon, an 80-year-old alcoholic who was once a famous comedian. Leon suggests to Nick that he search for his only known living relative, his eccentric wealthy grandmother Alice, a previously renowned musician, in order to find inner peace. The quest to unravel the secrets of the past proves difficult... but it produces a beautiful triangular friendship.
Décembre 2007. Une froide nuit d’hiver, juste avant Noël, Nick, un jeune homme de 16 ans, s’enfuit d’un orphelinat dans les Ardennes. Sur son chemin il rencontre Léon, un alcoolique de 80 ans qui était auparavant un comédien célèbre. La relation entre les deux hommes est dans un premier temps difficile, mais après un moment, ils comprennent qu’ils pourraient peut-être trouver à travers l’autre le bonheur qu’ils cherchent tous les deux. Léon conseille à Nick de partir à la recherche du seul proche encore en vie qu’il connaît : Alice, sa grand-mère riche et excentrique, une musicienne anciennement connue, dans le but de trouver la paix intérieure. La quête pour dénouer les secrets du passé n’est pas facile et rencontre beaucoup d’obstacles… mais elle conduit à une belle amitié triangulaire.
