After the heroic battle of the Spurs, life turns into its daily routine in Medieval Flanders. Two heroes, Jan Breydel and Pieter De Coninck, start up a joint-venture combining their specialities meat and textile. To seal this collaboration Breydel gives his twelve year old daughter Machteld in marriage to De Coninck. But apparently she is already pregnant.

Après l'héroïque bataille des éperons d'or, la vie en Flandre médiévale reprend son cours normal. Deux héros, Jan Breydel et Pieter De Coninck, commencent un partenariat commercial en combinant leurs spécialités : la viande et le textile. Pour sceller cette collaboration, Breydel offre Machteld, sa fille de 12 ans, en mariage à De Coninck. Mais apparemment, elle est déjà enceinte.
