Twelve-year-old Kwinten loves to play outside. His father, who is his hero, is a commander on a Belgian navy ship and is often away at sea for weeks. But Kwinten has found ways to deal with that.

synopsis

Twelve-year-old Kwinten loves to play outside. Since his best friend Obi moved to another city, he is often alone. Kwinten now finds comfort with his dog Jagmur, donkey Carmen and the neighbour’s pig Knorre. For Kwinten his dad, commander of the navy ship F931 Louise-Marie, is his hero. His job requires him to be regularly at sea for long periods of time. He is used to missing his father, but every time he is away on a mission, Kwinten must fill the days and cope with the pain of ‘missing’.
Kwinten est un garçon de 12 ans qui aime jouer dehors. Son père est commandant d'un navire de la Marine belge. Il est donc souvent parti en mer pendant des semaines. Papa est le héros de Kwinten, et il lui manque toujours énormément. Toutefois, Kwinten a trouvé une manière pour récompenser ce manqué.
De 12-jarige Kwinten speelt graag buiten. Sinds zijn beste vriend Obi naar een andere stad verhuisde, is hij vaker alleen. Kwinten vindt nu troost bij zijn hond Jagmur, ezel Carmen en Knorre, het varken van de buurman. Kwintens papa is zijn grote held. Hij is commandant van een marineschip van het Belgische Ministerie van Defensie. Zijn werk vereist dat hij regelmatig lange tijd op zee is. Kwinten is gewend zijn papa te moeten missen, maar het missen zelf went nooit. Elke keer als zijn papa op missie is, moet Kwinten een manier vinden om daarmee om te gaan.
