A mythological journey from the lyric to the tragic and back again. Or somewhere in between. With no map at hand, this is a quest which relies on a healthy dose of intuition, and fair winds. 'die Fliege' is also a live performance, in which the film is brought to you by one woman, her voice, and an orchestra of quirky self-made machines. All the elements meld into a single experience, and the glue which holds it all together is the woman. This is her world. She made it.
Die Fliege est une série de dessins qui se transforment en animation en suivant leur propre logique intrinsèque. Métamorphose. Une ligne mène à la suivante. Un voyage mythologique allant du lyrique au tragique, et inversement. Ou se situant quelque part entre les deux. Sans carte entre les mains, il s’agit d’une quête qui repose sur une dose saine d’intuition et d’air frais. Die Fliege est aussi une performance en direct, dans laquelle le film est amené à vous par une femme, sa voix, et un orchestre de machines décalées faites à la main. Une unique expérience émerge du mélange de tous ces éléments, et l’élément qui les colle ensemble est cette femme. C’est son monde. Elle l’a construit.
