A documentary series by Vincent Coen en Guillaume Vandenberghe about female cartoonists from around the world who are challenging the red lines and the taboos of their societies. In each episode a cartoonist takes us into her world, showing us not only the obstacles and dangers she faces, but also the courage and humour needed to deal with them.

synopsis

Moving between documentary, cartoons and animation, each episode of Draw for Change! deals with a specific cartoonist, and will be directed by an acclaimed female director with a direct link to the subject and country. Each of these cartoonists is rebellious in their own way: they draw because it is unthinkable for them not to do so. The price they pay for their work gives it a dramatic edge. They have been fired, intimidated or threatened with death, but they invariably refuse to give in. And they succeed in changing society, if only a little.
