synopsis

An empty room with five people sitting at a table that seats six. Their aged bodies are adorned with exotic fabrics and jewellery and they spend an eternity playing with their food. A charged silence fills the air. When the fragile equilibrium in the group is broken by the boy, the results are explosive.
Een eindeloze leegte strekt zich uit achter de ramen van een grote ruimte. Alleen ramen, geen deuren. De kamer is leeg op vijf mensen na, zittend aan een tafel voor zes. Hun verweerde lichamen zijn versierd met weelderige stoffen en juwelen. Zo leven zij in eeuwigheid, spelend met hun eten. Een geladen stilte vult de ruimte. Elke schending van de strikte sociale regels wordt onmiddellijk de kop in gedrukt door de anderen. Wanneer het fragiele evenwicht in de groep uiteindelijk wordt verbroken door het constante getreiter van het jongetje loopt alles uit de hand. Zijn moeder doet haar uiterste best om hem te beschermen voor de gevolgen maar haar dubbelrol komt met een hoge prijs…
