synopsis

Labelled disabled or autistic as teenagers, Brian, Jason, Jules and Kieran faced fewer opportunities and lost their self-confidence. Now in their twenties, they are at a crossroads in their lives. Will they have an independent future? Will they ever find a job, meet a partner, or start a family? The film, on which the young people have been actively collaborating for years, is a creative process and an emotional journey that aims to strengthen their self-image and prospects.
Les jeunes vingtenaires Brian, Jason, Jules et Kieran ont vu leurs opportunités se réduire et ont perdu leur confiance en eux lorsqu’on leur a collé les étiquettes d'« autisme » et de « handicap » durant leur adolescence. Aujourd’hui, ils se trouvent à un carrefour de leur vie : parviendront-ils à se construire un avenir indépendant ? Trouveront ils un emploi, un partenaire, une famille, le bonheur ?

Le film, auquel ces jeunes ont activement collaboré pendant plusieurs années, est à la fois un processus créatif et un voyage émotionnel visant à renforcer leur image d’eux-mêmes et à leur offrir une perspective d’avenir.
Jonge twintigers Brian, Jason, Jules en Kieran kregen als tieners steeds minder kansen en verloren hun zelfvertrouwen doordat het etiket 'autisme' en 'beperkt' op hen gekleefd werd. Nu staan ze op een kruispunt in hun leven: Zullen ze een onafhankelijke toekomst tegemoet gaan? Zullen ze ooit een baan vinden, een partner, een gezin? De film, waaraan de jongeren jarenlang actief hebben meegewerkt, is een creatief proces en een emotionele reis die erop gericht is hun zelfbeeld en toekomst perpectief te versterken.
