synopsis

Her Name Was is an ode to my grandmother. The film tells the touching and relevant story of Ida, an elderly lady wasting away in a retirement home until one day she meets a new resident, Jef. They fall in love and together they decide to revolt against the retirement home regime.
Haar naam was is een ode aan mijn oma. De film vertelt het ontroerende en relevante verhaal van Ida, een oude vrouw die wegkwijnt in een rusthuis tot ze op een dag een nieuwe bewoner leert kennen. Ze worden verliefd op elkaar en besluiten samen te revolteren tegen het rusthuis.
