Inside Out is an exploration of the power structures and human relations inside an institution where everything is defined and regulated by the law.

A prison in the North of Italy run by a charismatic female governor together with her team of jail wardens... A theatre play written and performed by a group of prisoners... Detainees and law enforcers share the same building and the same routine, year after year, on opposite sides. Sometimes they despise each other; other times they become friends. As the prisoners use theatre to denounce their living conditions, we discover the director's struggle with a chronic lack of funds and endless bureaucracy.
Une prison dans le nord de l’Italie, tenue par une gouvernante charismatique et son équipe d’agents pénitentiaires. Une pièce de théâtre écrite et interprétée dans une prison par un groupe de détenus. Les détenus et les agents partagent les mêmes bâtiments et la même routine. Année après année, dans des positions opposées. Parfois, ils se méprisent, parfois ils deviennent amis. Diritto rovescio (Recht averecht) explore les structures du pouvoir et les relations humaines au sein d’une institution dans laquelle tout est défini et régulé par la loi. Tandis que les détenus utilisent le théâtre pour dénoncer leurs conditions de vie, nous découvrons le combat du réalisateur afin d’améliorer les prisons malgré un manque criant de fonds et une bureaucratie sans fin.
