John lives with his old grandmother in the City of Antwerp. He prides himself with being absolutely fearless (and he really is), hence his (nick)name. One day a prank directed against him goes wrong and results in an incident leading Jan to be arrested, wrongly accused of assaulting an innocent man. Jan doesn't agree with this injustice and promptly escapes.

synopsis

John lives with his old grandmother in the City of Antwerp. He prides himself with being absolutely fearless (and he really is), hence his (nick)name. One day a prank directed against him goes wrong and results in an incident leading Jan to be arrested, wrongly accused of assaulting an innocent man. Jan doesn't agree with this injustice and promptly escapes. He goes on an adventurous ramble through Flanders, teams up with a sidekick, finds true love, and eventually fights a monstrous creature known as... Kludde!
John vit à Anvers avec sa grand-mère âgée. Il se vante de n'avoir peur de rien (ce qui est vrai), d'où son prénom : l'intrépide. Un jour, une farce dirigée contre lui tourne mal. Jan est arrêté et accusé, à tord, d'avoir agressé un homme innocent. Jan ne supporte pas cette injustice, et s'échappe rapidement. Il s'engage dans une vadrouille aventureuse à travers la Flandre, fait équipe avec des amis, trouve le vrai amour, et finit par se battre contre une créature monstrueuse connue sous le nom de Kludde !
