A music film about one of the greatest contralto singers of the 20th century: Kathleen Ferrier (1912-1953), an English woman whose voice and charisma brought about a meteoric rise but an international career cut short.
Kathleen Ferrier est un film musical consacré à l’une des plus grandes contraltos du XXème siècle: l’anglaise Kathleen Ferrier (1912-1953), à qui une voix et un charisme étonnants offrirent une ascension musicale fulgurante… mais, hélas, trop brève: à peine huit ans de carrière internationale.
Een film over de buitengewone Engelse contra-alt Kathleen Ferrier (1912-1953) en haar blijvende muzikale nalatenschap. Afgewisseld met evocaties van haar beroemdste optredens en vertolkingen illustreert deze film haar uitzonderlijke persoonlijkheid en vertelt hij hoe zij een van de allergrootste zangeressen van de voorbije eeuw werd.
