At the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, a nun is forced to flee her convent. She takes refuge in a brothel, until it is liberated by a woman's anarchist group. The nun joins the group and eventually goes to the front. The women's group faces the problems of fighting not only the nationalists, but also factions on the left seeking to impose a more traditional military structure.

Lors de l’éclatement de la guerre civile espagnole, une religieuse est forcée de s’enfuir de son couvent. Elle trouve refuge dans une maison close, jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit libérée par un groupe de jeunes femmes anarchistes. La religieuse rejoint le groupe et va finalement au front. Le groupe de femmes affronte non seulement les nationalistes, mais aussi les factions gauchistes cherchant à imposer une structure militaire plus traditionnelle.
