synopsis

A black comedy about the elderly Fleming brothers - Raoul, Pé and César - who buck demographic trends to commit one last bank heist. At first there appears to be no other motive but to recall the good old days; but it turns out they do have noble goals: retaining a childlike mentality makes it easier to tolerate the ravages of time. If you only live once, why not live a little crazier? Better late than never...
De drie stokoude gebroeders Fleminckx - in hun jonge jaren, de schrik van Turnhout - zitten op het einde van hun leven financieel aan de grond. Raoul, de man met het plan, overtuigt zijn twee broers nog één grote slag te slaan: de kluis van een bank openbreken via de aanpalende woning... een begrafenisonderneming. Maar de dementerende César die vroeger altijd de vluchtauto’s bestuurde, krijgt nu amper nog een schommelstoel in gang. En de stomme Pé draagt nu pampers en zonder zijn tanden lijkt hij weer klaar voor borstvoeding. Zijn deze krasse knarren op krukken en steunzolen nog wel in staat een bank te kraken? En vinden ze elk wat ze echt zoeken - de verloren liefde, een eigen stem of simpelweg een waardig leven - wel in de bankkluis? Los Flamencos is een komedie van Daniel Lambo over het leven en dood, kermis en Mexico en drie broers op zoek naar wat geluk.
