synopsis

In 2005, famous designer and architect Maarten van Severen dies, leaving an extraordinary collection of furniture and several fascinating architectural projects to his four talented young sons. As we follow the boys' steps towards their promising futures, the tumultuous life of their father is reconstructed. When they are confronted with some of the same challenges as he was, it seems as though history is repeating itself.

In 2005 sterft topdesigner en architect Maarten van Severen. Hij laat een van de meest bijzondere verzamelingen meubelontwerpen en architectuurprojecten ter wereld achter, maar ook vier jonge zonen die ieder een deel van zijn talenten en persoonlijkheid in zich meedragen. Terwijl we in het heden de stappen van de jongens volgen naar een veelbelovende toekomst, reconstrueren we het tumultueuze verleden van hun vader. Wanneer zijn zoons met dezelfde uitdagingen geconfronteerd worden als hun vader rijst de vraag of de geschiedenis zich zal herhalen.
