To help him cope after the death of his father, eight-year-old Stan uses a fantasy.

synopsis

After the death of his father, eight-year-old Stan uses a fantasy as his main coping mechanism. The day he and his family are about to move, Stan thinks that he shot down a plane. Frightened but confident, he goes into the woods to find the crashed device.
Maverick is een aangrijpende kinderfilm die het verhaal vertelt van de fantasievolle achtjarige Stan die er alles aan doet om niet te moeten verhuizen, uit angst dat hij zijn overleden vader zou vergeten. Wanneer hij op de dag van de verhuis denkt dat hij een vliegtuig heeft neergeschoten, gaat hij met volle moed op zoek naar het neergestort toestel.
