Alain is raising his son Milano alone. Determined to make their future better, he tries to make ends meet.

synopsis

Milano is a 12-year-old boy who only expresses himself in sign language. Determined to improve their future, Alain, his father, tries to make ends meet. Milano is often left home alone, and seeks the company of neighbour Renée, a woman who seems to have it all. When his mother suddenly returns, and Milano demands to meet her, the relationship between father and son is put under pressure. All is about to change.
Alain voedt zijn dove zoon Milano alleen op. Hij wil hem een beter leven geven dan hij zelf ooit heeft gehad. Ondanks al zijn goede bedoelingen worden zijn onmacht en falen zichtbaar. De vader-zoonrelatie komt onder druk te staan wanneer Milano zijn biologische moeder wil ontmoeten.
