synopsis

Devastated with grief after the mysterious disappearance of her magician lover, Louise is sent to a psychiatric asylum. Nine months later, she gives birth to Angel, a baby boy with an incredible gift: he is invisible. To protect him from the cruelty of the outside world, his mother hides his existence. Angel grows up quite normally until he meets Madeleine, a little blind girl the same age as him who lives nearby. They quickly become inseparable, Madeleine entirely unaware that Angel is invisible. Then, one day, Madeleine announces something that will turn their lives upside down: she will recover her sight.
Suite à la mystérieuse disparition de son compagnon, Louise, accablée par le chagrin, est internée dans un asile psychiatrique. Dans le plus grand secret, elle met au monde un petit garçon qu’elle prénomme Mon Ange et qui est doté d’une incroyable singularité : il est invisible. Louise impose à Mon Ange de ne jamais se dévoiler au monde, trop impitoyable face à la différence. Mais, un jour, Mon Ange fait la rencontre de Madeleine, une petite fille aveugle dont il tombe éperdument amoureux… « Grâce » à sa cécité, Mon Ange peut aimer Madeleine tout en préservant son secret. Au fil des ans, leur amour grandit, jusqu’au jour où Madeleine lui annonce une nouvelle qui va bouleverser leur vie : elle va retrouver la vue…
Na de mysterieuze verdwijning van haar vriend wordt Louise, overmand door verdriet, opgenomen in een psychiatrische instelling. In het grootste geheim baart ze een zoontje dat ze Mijn Engel noemt en die iets heel bijzonders heeft : hij is onzichtbaar. Louise verbiedt Mijn Engel om zich te tonen aan de wereld, die te onverdraagzaam is voor wie anders is. Maar op een dag ontmoet Mijn Engel Madeleine, een blind meisje waarop hij hopeloos verliefd wordt… 'Dankzij' haar blindheid kan Mijn Engel van Madeleine houden zonder zijn geheim te onthullen. Met de jaren groeit hun liefde, tot op de dag dat Madeleine met nieuws komt dat hun leven zal doen omslaan: ze zal opnieuw kunnen zien…
