synopsis

Romy has to say goodbye to her classmates because she's going to France. Not on holiday, but to work there: her family's touring circus will spend the entire summer performing in an amusement park. In a letter to her classmates, Romy talks about the ups and downs of her life as a circus artist and about her big dreams.
Romy moet afscheid nemen van haar klasgenoten, want ze gaat naar Frankrijk. Niet op vakantie maar om er te werken: het rondreizende circus van haar familie strijkt gedurende een aantal maanden neer in een pretpark. Romy’s dagen zijn goed gevuld: naast optreden moet Romy ook schoolwerk maken en nieuwe circustrucs instuderen. Gelukkig is er ook tijd voor ontspanning: Romy en Quintin doen niets liever dan na sluitingstijd ravotten in het pretpark. In een brief aan haar klasgenoten vertelt Romy over de ups en downs van het leven als circusartiest en over de grote dromen die ze koestert.
