Fierté Nationale: De Jéricho vers Gaza follows Hassan Al Balawi, a Palestinian diplomat in Brussels, as he returns to his homeland on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the death of Yasser Arafat, the historical leader of the PLO. Filmed in 2019, Balawi’s journey from the occupied West Bank to the border of Gaza draws a subjective image of what has become of the Palestinian liberation struggle, foreshadowing the events that would unfold on October 7.

Fierté Nationale: De Jéricho vers Gaza follows Hassan Al Balawi, a Palestinian diplomat in Brussels, as he returns to his homeland on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the death of Yasser Arafat, the historical leader of the PLO. Filmé en 2019, le voyage de Balawi de la Cisjordanie occupée à la frontière de Gaza dessine une image subjective de ce qu’il est advenu de la lutte de libération palestinienne à la veille des événements du 7 octobre.

Balawi reist daarbij van de bezette Westelijke Jordaanoever naar de grens van Gaza. Zijn reis schetst een subjectief beeld van wat er is geworden van de Palestijnse bevrijdingsstrijd aan de vooravond van de omwenteling na 7 oktober 2023.
