synopsis

A group of teenage friends reunite at a barbecue one year after the loss of their friend. But the atmosphere is tense because one of them brings a Japanese exchange student. She becomes aware of how everyone is haunted by the past and its impact on their relationships.
Un groupe d’amis adolescents se réunit lors d’un barbecue un an après la mort d’un de leurs amis. L’atmosphère est très tendue car l’un d’eux est venu avec une étudiante japonaise en programme d’échange. La jeune fille japonaise remarque comment chacun est confronté au passé et comment leur amitié pâtit de la situation.
Een vriendengroep tienerjongens valt uit elkaar nadat één van hen sterft door een ongeluk op hun jaarlijkse reis. Een zomer later organiseren ze een barbecue en komen ze alle vier terug samen. De hereniging verloopt stug omdat één van hen een Japanse logee meebrengt. Het Japanse meisje ziet als ongewenste buitenstaander hoe de vriendengroep opnieuw wordt geconfronteerd met het verleden.
