synopsis

When Lloyd notices Áine standing on Grattan bridge, completely soaked, for far longer than seems normal, he fears the worst and decides to intervene. A series of revelations, confessions, secrets and lies follows, as we delve into these extraordinary, ordinary Dublin lives. Northern Lights explores how resilient people can be in the face of tragedy, and is ultimately a story about hope.
Northern Lights raconte l'histoire de deux étrangers en deuil, Lloyd et Áine, dont les mondes s'entrechoquent lorsque Lloyd remarque qu'Áine se tient sur le pont de Grattan, complètement trempée, depuis bien plus longtemps qu'il n'y paraît. Craignant le pire et se basant sur une expérience passée, il décide d'intervenir. S'ensuit une série de révélations, d'aveux, de secrets et de mensonges et nous plongeons dans ces vies extraordinaires et ordinaires de Dublin. Northern Lights explore la résilience des gens face à la tragédie et est en fin de compte une histoire d'espoir.
Northern Lights vertelt het verhaal van twee rouwende vreemdelingen, Lloyd en Áine, wier werelden botsen wanneer Lloyd Áine ziet staan op de Grattan-brug, helemaal doorweekt, veel langer dan normaal lijkt. Hij vreest het ergste en besluit op basis van een ervaring uit het verleden in te grijpen. Een reeks onthullingen, bekentenissen, geheimen en leugens volgt terwijl we ons verdiepen in deze buitengewone, gewone levens in Dublin. Northern Lights onderzoekt hoe veerkrachtig mensen kunnen zijn in het aangezicht van tragedie en is uiteindelijk een verhaal over hoop.
