synopsis

A woman is slowly saying goodbye to the life she led. Everyday acts are carefully executed. There is a declaration, as if life is a sequence of still lifes. One Way of Going succeeds Bounce Underground and Landscape #1 and #2. The body has a central role in these films: it functions as both an instrument and a memory trigger.
One Way of Going raconte l’histoire d’une femme qui peu à peu dit au-revoir à la vie qu’elle a mené. Les actes du quotidien sont exécutés avec soin. Il y a une décélération, comme si la vie était une séquence de vies immobiles. One Way of Going succède à Bounce Underground et Landscape #1 et #2. Le corps a un rôle central dans ces films. Il fonctionne comme un instrument, il provoque des souvenirs. Les mouvements sont surveillés de près et l’accent est mis sur l’aspect visuel et auditif.
