Careers are won and lost in the highly charged atmosphere of the Paris Opera Ballet.
synopsis
- At the world-renowned Paris Opera, Zoé, a 35-year-old principal dancer with a dazzling career, has recently faltered: too many parties, lovers, anxieties. In danger of being fired, Zoé will have to come to terms with the institution, her peers, and especially her own demons, if she is to earn herself a second chance. Meanwhile, Flora, a young black dancer, has just joined the company and has only a few months to prove her mettle and carve out a place for herself. Meanwhile the flamboyant and ambitious Sébastien, newly appointed director of dance, wants to make the Paris Opera Ballet shine even brighter in the international firmament.
- À l’Opéra de Paris, Zoé, danseuse Étoile de 35 ans à la carrière fulgurante, vit aujourd’hui dans l’excès : trop de fêtes, d’amants, d’angoisses … Parce qu’elle n’a plus le niveau, on veut la renvoyer, mais Zoé va se battre contre l’institution, ses pairs et surtout contre elle-même pour décrocher une seconde chance. À ses côtés, Flora, 19 ans, une jeune danseuse noire, vient de rejoindre le Corps de Ballet et n’a que quelques mois pour s’intégrer et faire ses preuves. Et Sébastien, 38 ans, le tout nouveau Directeur de la Danse, flamboyant et ambitieux, qui veut faire briller l’Opéra au firmament de la danse mondiale …
