synopsis

This film was shot using a digital high-speed camera from a moving subway car entering the station. The result is an endless shot of people on a platform passing by in slow motion. The tranquil movement of the camera and stillness of the people portrayed give room for a hypnotic chain of thoughts and associations. The platform seems to have been transformed into a stage on which people's small gestures and simple routines become a performance.
Le film a été tourné à partir d’un wagon de métro qui entrait dans la station, utilisant une caméra à mémoire ultra rapide. Le résultat donne un mouvement continu de personne traversant la station de métro au ralenti. Le mouvement tranquille de la caméra et le silence des personnes qui sont représentées, laisse la place à une chaîne hypnotique de pensées et d’associations. La station de métro semble s’être transformée en scène sur laquelle les petits gestes du quotidien et la routine se transforment en performance.
