A historical drama set In 12th-century France, where a woman and her child struggle for survival in the wilderness waiting for her husband to return from the crusades.

synopsis

12th-century France. A woman waits with her child in the wilderness for her husband to return from the crusades. They are struggling for survival. While exploring in detail the way people back then lived in relation to nature, this historical drama favours the use of allegory to address contemporary concerns such as religious fanaticism, post-traumatic stress disorder and alienation.
In de twaalfde eeuw wachten een vrouw en haar kind in de Franse wildernis op de terugkeer van een man van de kruistochten. In dit historisch drama zitten actuele thema's verwerkt, zoals religieus fanatisme, posttraumatische stress en vervreemding.
