In this three-part documentary series, Belgian historian David Van Reybrouck goes in search of the last remaining witnesses to the end of Dutch colonialism in Indonesia, in the 1940s and 1950s. Bringing an international perspective to this historic decolonisation process, he talks to surviving protagonists from Indonesia and the Netherlands, and to others whose role has previously remained in the shadows.
Dans cette série documentaire en trois parties, l'historien belge David Van Reybrouck part à la recherche des derniers témoins de la fin du colonialisme néerlandais en Indonésie, dans les années 1940 et 1950. En apportant une perspective internationale à ce processus historique de décolonisation, il s'entretient avec des protagonistes survivants d'Indonésie et des Pays-Bas, ainsi qu'avec d'autres personnes dont le rôle est resté dans l'ombre.
