In Africa, Richard comes to the aid of a flock of sparrows held captive by evil marabous.

synopsis

Richard, the daring sparrow who was adopted by a stork family, is enjoying wintering at the Great Lake in northern Africa, when he realises he won’t be the one to lead the flock back north. Therefore, he runs away to travel on his own. On his journey he meets Samia and her sparrow flock, who are being held captive by evil marabous under the control of the greedy peacock Zamano. The only chance of freedom for the sparrows is to solve a riddle and find the Great Jewel, which will require teamwork, trust and – most of all – ‘spork’ skills, skills that sparrows have learnt from storks.
Richard, de moedige mus die werd geadopteerd door een ooievaarsfamilie, geniet van de overwintering bij het Grote Meer in Noord-Afrika wanneer hij beseft dat hij niet degene zal zijn die de zwerm ooievaars terug naar het noorden zal leiden. Daarom loopt hij weg om alleen te reizen. Op zijn reis ontmoet hij Samia en haar troep mussen, die gevangen worden gehouden door kwaadaardige maraboes onder controle van de hebzuchtige pauw Zamano. De enige kans op vrijheid voor de mussen is het oplossen van een raadsel en het vinden van het Grote Juweel waarvoor teamwork, vertrouwen en vooral vaardigheden, geleerd van ooievaars, ook bekend als "spork" (mus + ooievaar) vaardigheden, nodig zijn!
