synopsis

The director accompanies the person in front of the camera through the forgotten corridors of their personality. The 'Scream Test' reveals a pre-historic instinct and innate experience through the performer's body. The scream is a personal release: it actualises the presence of aggression, touching upon the dimension of collective fear. Its high pitch abruptly interrupts the routine course of daily life. Provoking instant and total mental absorption, the scream paradoxically brings us back to reality, to the current time of now.
Le réalisateur accompagne la personne face à la caméra à travers les couloirs oubliés de sa personnalité. Le "Scream Test" révèle un instinct pré-historique, une expérience innée à travers le corps du performer. Le cri est une libération personnelle : il concrétise la présence de l'agressivité, effleurant la dimension de peur collective. Sa tonalité aigüe interrompt abruptement la routine quotidienne. En provoquant momentanément l'absorption totale du mental, le cri nous ramène paradoxalement à la réalité, au moment présent. Comme si une aiguille piquait le corps collectif, exposant les limites entre l'espace personnel et le sens partagé de collectivité. Que se passe-t-il lorsque le chroma key rencontre la séance de psychothérapie?
De regisseur vergezelt de persoon voor de lens doorheen de vergeten gangen van zijn persoonlijkheid. De "Scream Test" onthult een prehistorisch instinct en een aangeboren ervaring via het lichaam van de performer. De gil is een persoonlijke uitlaat: het actualiseert de aanwezigheid van agressie door de dimensie van collectieve angst aan te raken. Haar hoge frequentie onderbreekt de routine van het dagelijkse leven abrupt. Door een onmiddellijke en volledige mentale absorptie te provoceren, brengt de gil ons paradoxaal genoeg terug naar de realiteit, naar de huidige tijd van het nu. Alsof een naald het collectieve lichaam heeft geprikt, en daarmee ook de grenzen van de persoonlijke ruimte en het gedeelde gevoel van samenzijn. Wat gebeurt er wanneer het chroma key een psychotherapeutische sessie ontmoet?
