synopsis

Samuel's life is a mess: his girlfriend just left him and he is out of a job. Having hit rock bottom, he decides suicide will be the only way out. While attempting to kill himself, he rescues the life of his neighbour Charlyne. Trying to cheer her up, he tells her he is sent from heaven to make her happy again.
Samuel Bloemensteen is een mislukte werkzoekende man die nergens een baan kan krijgen. Hij loopt twee maanden achter met de huur en zijn vriendin Micheline maakt de verhouding uit. Hij kiest ervoor om zelfmoord te plegen. Maar opeens wordt hij onderbroken door muziek bij zijn buurvrouw die zichzelf ook bijna van het leven heeft beroofd. Omdat Samuel in zijn buurvrouw een mogelijke lotgenote ziet, doet hij net alsof hij haar engelbewaarder is. Dit wordt een avontuur waarin Samuel constant in zijn rol als engelbewaarder moet blijven spelen.
