Jana's life changes course completely when the body of her foster father, the ferryman of Terhaven, is found on the banks of the Scheldt. She takes the blame for his lonely life and wants to make up for it by resolving his death. Jana takes over the ferry service and starts a whole new life.

synopsis

Jana Meyer starts up a trendy boutique in Antwerp and makes her dream come true. At the same time the body of her foster father, Stan Moereels, the ferryman of Terhaven, is found on the banks of the Scheldt. Suicide is the only and obvious conclusion. This mystery fascinates Jana a lot, especially when she finds his farewell letter: '...what I did, is worse than murder... I played judge over life and death.' Jana's life changes course completely when she becomes aware of the dark secrets of Terhaven, the so-called idyllic village. She takes the blame for her foster father's lonely life and wants to make up for it by resolving his death. Jana takes over the ferry service and starts a whole new life.
