The focus is on how eager these people are to learn the language, find a decent job and expand their social life. Soap & Dishes is a touching portrait about these people's homesickness and courage to make something of your life.
Soap & Dishes se concentre sur la vie de huit personnes arrivées récemment à Gand, en Belgique. Pendant une période de huit mois, le documentaire suit la vie quotidienne de ces nouveaux citoyens. L’accent est mis sur la ferveur avec laquelle ces personnes veulent apprendre la langue, trouver un job décent et étendre leur vie sociale. Soap & Dishes est un portrait émouvant de ces personnes en mal de leur pays et sur le courage pour faire quelque chose de sa vie.
