After realizing that the Dutch government in London has no clue whatsoever about the suffering of the Dutch people, they decide to take action.

1939. Un certain nombre d’amis se rencontrent à l’Université de Leiden. Ils sont libérés des ennuis et ne s’inquiètent pas de la guerre qui se profile. Lorsque la Seconde Guerre mondiale atteint la Hollande, deux d’entre eux s’enfuient en Angleterre. Après s’être rendu compte que le gouvernement néerlandais à Londres n’a pas la moindre idée de la souffrance des Hollandais, ils prennent la décision d’agir.
