synopsis

The village is brimming with stories and, if you listen closely, you might just hear some of them. Perhaps the one about the businessman who dreams in Latin and sacrifices his promising career for astronomy and old books. Or the one about a delicate boy who carves moorland birds and dreams of being an artist. Or maybe the one about the open-air affair that has explosive unforeseen consequences...
In de straten van een klein IJslands dorpje sluimeren vele verhalen. Zo weerklinkt zachtjes het verhaal van de fabrieksbaas die op een nacht in het Latijn begint te dromen. Evenals het verhaal van een boer die zijn huwelijk op het spel zet voor de vrouw die dagelijks voorbij zijn weide komt rennen. Ook weerklinkt het verhaal van de jongen die liever naar vogels kijkt dan in de voetstappen van zijn vader te treden.
