synopsis

Set in the deindustrialised mining city of Genk, Terril depicts the masculine dynamics within a working-class family. It patiently moves between these social codes and the landscape in which they manifest themselves.
Mike komt weer thuis in Genk. Hij probeert zijn plaats te zoeken binnen de sociale dynamieken van zijn familie en vrienden. Het mijnlandschap in Genk zorgt voor ongewone mogelijkheden. In een postindustriële mijnstad onderzoekt de film masculiene dynamieken in een arbeidersfamilie. Terril beweegt tussen deze sociale codes en het landschap waarin ze zich manifesteren.
