synopsis

Sophia, a shy girl, likes to roam around in a desolate junkyard that used to be a park. She is shocked when she hears that 'her' park is going to be cut down by the mayor. Her life changes dramatically when she meets a gypsy who lends her a living ball for five days. The ball proves to be an amazing character that whistles like an animal and makes objects fly. Sophia and her ball become instantly popular with the other kids. She even succeeds in convincing them to help her save the park. Yet when Sophia's classmate Romeo shows his amorous affections towards her, the ball grows jealous and vicious. Sophia feels more alone than ever and runs away from home... The Ball is a fantasy adventure film for the whole family.
Sophia, une jeune fille timide, aime vagabonder dans une sombre décharge qui auparavant était un parc. Elle est choquée d’apprendre que « son » parc est sur le point d’être rasé par le maire. Sa vie change radicalement le jour où elle rencontre un gitan qui lui prête une balle magique pendant cinq jours. La balle témoigne d’un caractère incroyable qui siffle comme un animal et fait voler les objets. Sophia et sa balle deviennent instantanément populaire auprès des autres enfants. Elle parvient même à les convaincre de l’aider à sauver le parc. Cependant, lorsque Roméo, le compagnon de classe de Sophia lui avoue ses sentiments, la balle devient jalouse et malveillante, ce qui pousse Sophia à se sentir plus seule que jamais et à fuir sa maison... The Ball est un film d’aventure fantastique pour toute la famille.
