synopsis

Rwanda, spring 1944: the outbreak of the genocide. Jacqueline, a young Tutsi woman, is a maid for a Belgian family. When she discovers her children brutally murdered by the Hutus, she runs away and hides in the woods. There, she meets a man who has also escaped the slaughter. Together, they will try to survive with the fear of being discovered at any moment.
Tourné au printemps 1994 au Rwanda. Lors du déclenchement du génocide, Jacqueline, une jeune femme tutsi, est servante dans une famille belge. Lorsqu’elle retrouve ses enfants brutalement assassinés par les Hutus, elle s’enfuit et se cache dans les bois. Là, elle rencontre un homme qui a également échappé au massacre. Ensemble, ils vont essayer de survivre avec la peur d’être découvert à tout moment. Terreur et folie les attend à chaque tournant.
