In 2015, the Dia Art Foundation in New York invited Belgian artist Joëlle Tuerlinckx to realise a project for its Dia:Beacon museum. Filmed during five visits, between 2015 and 2018, Tuerlinckx moves through the museum like a reckless memory machine. Time is rampant. She comments, paraphrases, classifies, fillets, stretches and condenses American art history, and by extension the entire history of art, in a poetic way. This is film as a stream of images and sounds, as a never-ending beginning, as a report.
