synopsis

Rashid, a Syrian theatre director and political refugee in Antwerp, is working with other refugees on a play about their experiences in Europe. During a retreat at a beach house with his secret lover Adrian, tensions rise as the strain of their relationship starts to affect Rashid’s reality and his play.
Rashid, een Syrische theaterregisseur en politieke vluchteling, werkt met andere vluchtelingen aan een optreden over hun ervaringen in Europa. Tijdens een retraite in een strandhuis met zijn geheime geliefde Adrian groeit de spanning. De druk van hun relatie weegt niet alleen op Rashids echte leven, maar ook op hun stuk.
