synopsis

Brussels. Dealing with the capital's grim underbelly on a daily basis, taciturn homicide detective Leo Woeste lives with Kathleen and her five-year-old son. But his convictions start to crumble when Kathleen unexpectedly becomes pregnant. His very last homicide case, involving a death-obsessed dealer in Congolese cult statues, slowly drags him deeper into the wasteland, far away from his wife and his role as a father. Waste Land is a psychological thriller about a man and a city in crisis during the nine months of pregnancy of his wife.
Bruxelles. Leo Woeste, un détective introverti, vit avec sa femme Kathleen et leur fils de 5 ans. Quotidiennement confronté à la dure réalité de la face cachée de la capitale, les convictions de Leo s'effondrent lorsque sa femme tombe enceinte contre toute attente. Sa dernière affaire d'homicide, impliquant un trafiquant de statuettes de culte congolaises obsédé par la mort, l'éloigne peu à peu de sa femme et de son rôle de père.
Waste Land est un thriller psychologique à propos d'un homme et d'une ville en crise pendant les neuf mois de grossesse de sa femme.
