Ever since 1919, the daily life in Ypres, capital of Flanders Fields, has been dedicated to commemorating the First World War. On her journey through this landscape of remembrance, filmmaker Annabel Verbeke encounters the most diverse and sometimes contradictory ways of commemorating.
Sinds 1919 lijkt het dagdagelijkse leven in Ieper en omstreken bijna geheel in het teken te staan van het herdenken van de Eerste Wereldoorlog. Annabel Verbeke reist door dit herinneringslandschap en stuit op de meest uiteenlopende en soms zelfs tegenstrijdige manieren van herdenken.
