Mateo lives in a small village near the crater of a volcano. As the volcano awakens, Alejandra, his love, sees an opportunity to leave and explore the world outside. Mateo wants to stay. With everything threatening to fall apart, Mateo realises he has nowhere left to hide, not even behind the volcano.
Mateo woont in een klein dorpje aan de rand van een vulkaan. Wanneer deze ontwaakt, ziet Alejandra, zijn geliefde, dit als een kans om te vertrekken en de wijde wereld te verkennen. Mateo daarentegen wil blijven. Terwijl alles dreigt uiteen te vallen, beseft Mateo dat er geen plek meer is om zich te verschuilen – zelfs niet achter de vulkaan.
